Salle Holyrood Fencing Club was set up in 2011 by fencing coaches, Keith Cook and Sean Walton who have an impressive track record of success. The club was created to provide a pathway for young fencers moving on from plastic fencing classes taught through Fencing Fun.
It has, however, become one of the biggest and most successful clubs in Scotland for all ages and abilities.
The club offers opportunities for complete beginners who simply want to learn a new sport and get active and competitive fencers of all ages and abilities. We actively support wheelchair fencing.
In the short time since its inception, the club is now the largest and one of the most successful clubs in Scotland, creating an environment of fun, development and learning for all our members. Whilst the club has a high proportion of junior fencers, it currently has members aged 8-68 competing at junior, senior and veterans level alongside participants simply enjoying learning a new skill and making new friends.
We view the safety and welfare of our members as paramount and as such have a comprehensive set of policies and guidelines and an active committee, including Youth Representatives, to ensure the views of all our members are heard.
