Coaching Experience? 7 years running Fencing Fun, personally coaching around 750 children each week in plastic fencing and Co-founder of Salle Holyrood.
When did you start fencing? Aged 11 at Royal Commonwealth Pool Fencing Club.
Best Fencing/Coaching Moment? Becoming British Champion and watching my son, Jaimie, becoming British U/12 Champion in 2016, retaining his title in 2017 and watching Imogen come 3rd at British U10 Championships.
Potted history of finest fencing achievements? British Champion, 6 times commonwealth medallist, European Team Bronze medallist. Part of first GB Team to ever medal at a World Cup. Top 16 in Paris Grand Prix.
Hobbies/Pastimes? Golf, spending time with my family, table tennis, football
Family Life? Married to Jo Cook, chair of Salle Holyrood and former Scottish Team member. Two children aged 12 and 9, both infected with the fencing bug!
Interesting fact? I was born with a hearing defect and couldn’t hear til I was 5 years old.
